BridgePort Realty Capital Partners Inc. Acquires SimpliCity Developments Inc. and welcomes Michel Pilon as a Principal and Member of the Executive Team.

Ottawa (Ontario) – October 18, 2010 – BridgePort Realty Capital Partners Inc. is pleased to announce that it has acquired SimpliCity Developments Inc., a company specializing in providing real estate development advisory services in the National Capital Region since 2004. As a result of this acquisition, Michel Pilon, President of SimpliCity, will be joining BridgePort as a Principal and member of the senior team leading the company’s development activities effective, October 18, 2010.

Mr. Pilon brings extensive real estate development experience in Ontario and Quebec. During the span of his 18-year career, he has been involved in thousands of acres of land development projects across many asset classes including four-season resorts, suburban office parks, multi-tenant industrial campuses, retail developments, mixed-use town centre developments, and numerous residential subdivisions in Quebec and Ontario.

When asked about this new opportunity, Mr. Pilon stated, “BridgePort’s footprint in the National Capital Region has grown steadily since inception and I believe that, together with the other principals of the company, we will be able to expand our real estate business through development and strategic land investments in both Ottawa and Gatineau markets.”
